I Don't Know Why My Marriages Failed - SHAN GEORGE

Nollywood star actress, Shan George may be beautiful and have a good sense of humour but she is one woman who will not discuss issue of marriage with anybody due to the fact that she has been so unfortunate in that aspect. First, she was Mrs. Nwosisi then she metamorphosed into Mrs. Momoh Osigwe and later to Mrs. Jaiyeola and before one could start to register the latter to her name she switched over to her maiden name again, Ms. George.

She was recently asked why she has been so unfortunate in this regards and she allegedly fumed with rage and responded thus “I don’t know o. Sometimes I ask myself why it happens like that. I don’t know why my marriages will just collapse like a house that has no solid foundation. Honestly it bothers me, may be I am just unlucky”
While all these things are happening to the actress, a lot of her friends who are so concerned about the way things are going for her, Star Weekly! learnt, advised her to go for spiritual cleansing or deliverance from one of the so called fire-for-fire pastors in town but she allegedly said to have declined and totally rebuffed such an idea. What could be wrong with this ‘mallato’ actress? Only God can tell!

Have Mercy On Your Boobs!

Taken from a five star party! Please, for the love of Mike, have mercy on your boobs and stop disgracing them in this manner. It is probably your fault, not theirs, that they had to go flat like that so soon. So, you have no right whatsoever to terrorise them in public as if they are the real culprit.

Are your tits taking part in a circus show? Information reaching us shows that you sat carelessly in public , exposing your oil rig and this caused pandemonium..
You have committed a double offence. First, you wore shorts and you still went on to wear revealing top. You are showing too much flesh. Showing-off your cleveite like that in public is highly offensive. If you must do it, do it discreetly and don’t get our teenage boys drooling over those uncensored pair.
Now, nobody is advising you not to party with bra-less cleavages but you must consider your boobs before choosing the particular cleavage to wear. Why should you do this to your boobs? How dare you let them loose? They’ve gone South-south and should be confined in a firm bra, but you preferred to disgrace them.

SANDRA IWU: "The Secret Of My Modelling Success"

There is no denying the fact that, at present, the name, Sandra Iwu, is becoming one to reckon with in the Nigerian modelling industry. Twenty five year old Sandra Iwu kicked off her modeling career with Catwalk Studio in Ikeja. She has since grown into a model who can hold her own. A regular face on the Nigerian runway, Sandra has participated in over 40 fashion shows and has plied her trade outside the shores of Nigeria. In 2006, she was crowned, Most Beautiful Girl in Lagos State University (LASU). The 5ft 10 inches model, now runs her own modeling agency called Sim Model .
Sandra says her success in the modelling world may not be unconnected with her shape, which she tries very hard to maintain.
“Well, at the moment, they expect you to be a little bit curvy and have some flesh. Don’t be too skinny because an African woman has to be curvy whether you’re big or small. Some people want to be skinny. When I wanted to go to Joburg and New York fashion week, they asked me to go down a little bit but I found it so difficult because after a little while, you’ll go up again. But I try to get by. The way to go about it is to have balanced diet, drink a lot of water and exercise a lot. I try as much as possible to maintain this size because I don’t want to go beyond this,” she says.
Apart from modelling and school, Sandra also has a company she’s running. How does she cope?
Hear her: “I’ll be leaving school next year. My business has been paying my bills. So I get by.”

"I'll Act Nude If..." - EMPRESS NJAMAH

It is a fact that Empress Njamah, younger sister to the Njamahs – all Nollywood stars – is a movie diva with an uncommon allure. But the beautiful actress has had her own share of controversies that perennially rock the Nigerian entertainment industry. Nevertheless, three things are bound to endear you to Empress Njamah, even though you hold negative opinion about her lifestyle. They are her friendliness, intelligence and boldness to discuss issues affecting her personality as well as her acting career.

Empress, whose crashed love affair with the Egberi Papa of Bayelsa, Inetimi Odom a.k.a Timaya, made headlines in national dailies early last year, bared her mind to the media, last week, and informed she’s ready to bare it all and act nude if the settings are right.
In her own words, “Our society is full of hypocrisy. Apart from the fact that acting nude is alien to our culture, there are so many things happening in our society today which are not part of our culture. The same people who would love to see you look decent are the same people who would go behind your back to criticise you. That’s our society for you. Yes, if my society is not all that hypocritical, I will do it.”
She continues: “But I will comfortably do it abroad because I know that over there, I’m working for my money. The good thing is that you are doing your job, and people like to criticise what they would love to watch. What’s the difference, when people go to the internet to watch pornography and all that. Would they criticise themselves for doing so?"

Last weekend, notable Nollywood star, Ernest Obi, got wedded to former Miss Evi Oki; and trust the industry big players. They flocked round their own to celebrate with the couple. Some of the Nollywood stars that stormed the Obagoriola street, Alaba Lagos, venue of the ceremony, include Olu Jacobs, who was introduced as a movie hero that has conquered Hollywood and came home to conquer Nollywood and his wife, Joke Silver, who was also commended for her successful marriage to the star actor despite the widely belief that movie stars don’t always have successful marriages.

Sammie Okposo Cannot Lead Gospel Artistes In Nigeria - ASU EKIYE

A couple of days after our publication on the Nigerian gospel music star, Sammie Okposo, a well known voice in the industry, Asu Ekiye, has come up to bash the public image of the former. For Bayelsa-born gospel music star, Sammie Okposo is not fit to lead an association of gospel artistes simply because he does not have the spiritual pedigree.

The award winning musician, who has three albums, “Back to Base 1 - 3” to his credit, says it is scandalous to have been tipped as a deputy to Okposo in the association being put together by some gospel musicians.
Ekiye declares thus: “I am aware of a positive move to spearhead the course of bringing all gospel musicians in Nigeria under one umbrella for proper coordination and organization. And to say that I am tipped as deputy to Sammie Okposo is a figment of someone’s imagination.
“Nobody has the right to choose who leads and who deputizes until all gospel musicians in Nigeria agree on that. Moreover, I cannot be led by Sammie Okposo. Yes! He cannot lead me. I cannot be a part of anything led by Sammie Okposo because he does not have the spiritual pedigree to lead me.”
According to Ekiye, gospel music is not just an art form it is actually a life pattern. “And in fact, the life pattern validates the music. So if a set of people are orchestrating a certain move to pursue selfish agenda aimed at legitimizing a cycle of obduracy and self aggrandizement, it does not make it credible. It is in fact an insult to ask me to follow Sammie.
Sammie Okposo, despite his blithering career in the Nigerian gospel music industry, has been enmeshed in one sexual scandal after the other, culminating in his having children from different mothers outside wed-lock, a practice which Christianity strongly condemns.
This month, Sammie will be getting married to an officially recognised wife.

Why Stella Damasus Birthday Celebration Was Low Keyed

Stella Damasus Nzeribe, nollywood star actress, who is at present going into music, was a year older penultimate Saturday and she marked the birthday in a low-keyed event at her Lekki, Lagos residence.

The actress, who is currently busy editing her much expected television programme, decided to mark the birthday low-key due to her busy schedule, and more importantly her Stella Damasus Show, which will berth on local and international television stations soon.
A source close to the multi-talented screen diva told us that she has been very busy combining resources to make sure that the programme becomes the first of its kind when it eventually hit the airwaves.
“As you know, Stella has been extremely busy all this while. She has been working on a couple of projects which include the High School Musical (HSM) and of course her own TV programme. So celebrating the birthday in a big way would have been a kind of distraction, considering her numerous projects. Besides, she is not the lousy type,” the source hinted.

I Knew Of My Husband's Girlfriend Before I Married Him - RONKE OSHODI-OKE

Nick-named “Oshodi-Oke” due to her big boobs, Ronke, the celebrated star of the Yoruba genre of Nollywood, recently shed light on why she married late despite pressures from men. She also admitted having knowledge of her husband’s dealing with his ex-girlfriend even before they got married.

She said: “The lady lives in Surulere. I knew about her even before we got married. My husband and I have been together for 11 years. We got married last year. We had been together even before I had my baby and before he had his own baby. He has a daughter and I have a daughter too. Our relationship was on and off before we finally decided to get married and settle down. Maybe during the period our relationship was on and off, he had a lady friend and I asked him about her. I knew the girl wanted to see me. She just wanted me to know he was dating her. You know how some girls behave. But after our marriage, my husband said he and the girl had not seen each other. Since then, things have been fine with us.”
Many people had been worried as to why Ronke, with all her beauty and carriage, was not married until she eventually got married last year. Some even said maybe men did not fancy her as a wife. But the star actress said she was bidding her time. “
“I have seen a lot in life. As an actress, you will be exposed to a lot of things in life. You don’t rush into marriage. You don’t marry because you want to marry. You must marry your friend, the person you understand. Having a baby for someone is different from getting married to him. If you jump into marriage, you will jump out of it as well. If you rush in, you will rush out. You must get everything right before you get into it. You have to ask yourself if you really must get into that marriage. You must be sure of what you want to go into. I know it is God that perfects marriage. But you still have to ask yourself if you are ready to get into it. You have to be very ready. That was why it took us that long. We just had to be sure,” she explained.

Eagles Will Hold Down Argentina - LARS LARGERBACK

Ten days to the crucial encounter between Nigeria and Argentina in South Africa 2010 World Cup, Super Eagles of Nigeria’s Technical Adviser, Lars Lagerback, has assured Nigerians that the Eagles will contain the Argentines come June 12.

This assurance is coming amidst doubts and fears, amongst Nigerian fans, that the country lacks a formidable World Cup team fit to beat Argentina. The doubt shot to an all time high after Super Eagles dismal performance against Saudi Arabia in which the game ended a goal-less draw. And even though their second outing, against Columbia, sparked up hope in some quarters, the general feeling is that nothing short of miracle would make Nigeria scale through the first round of the competition, especially the match against Argentina.
But Lars Lagerback says Eagles have much prospect and can withstand Argentina.
In his own words: “I think it’s too early to write off this team and I want Nigerian fans to have confidence in this team. We’ve just started and I think the players’ attitudes have been excellent but we faced some challenges before the Saudi Arabia game.”
Largerback added that Nigeria could withstand Argentina despite the widespread fear of Messi, stressing that Argentina is not all about Messi.
“We will do everything in our preparation to hold down Argentina,” he promised.

Cossy To Relocate To Ghana

Almost a year after the dog incident, it appears the ghost of that scandal has refused to leave Nollywood star, Cossy Orjiakor alone. The wild but beautiful actress is nursing a secret agony at the moment and she has resorted to relocating from Naija to maybe Ghana where the memories of the agony will finally disappear.

StarWeekly! gathered that Cossy, after being alleged to have slept with dogs, by a report in one of the country’s soft-sell journals, has become a recluse that everybody avoids her like a plague. Aside that, some men who often flirted around her are said to have kept their distance so as not to share from bad press exposure.
And despite her being invited to some locations for movie shootings – one of which recently took place in Asaba, Delta State - Cossy has not been enjoying life the way she used to due to the bad publication about her image. It seems the best way out of this trouble is to run away.
