"My Mandate For Nigeria (5) - KOLA AKINGBADE

(Being the concluding part of the Presidential Declaration speech of KOLA AKINGBADE, presidetial aspirant and political star. An exclusive interview with him will be published in the launch edition of our paper format hitting the news stands in the first week of October. Watch out!)

So now, with long suffering, forbearing one another in LOVE, we must defend the Unity of Nigeria in the name of PEACE.

We must love one another

We must show our love one to another

Love Does Forgive. Love demand that we forgive one another.

Forgiveness set people free.

Freedom promotes Unity. Don’t hold anyone hostage because of their past. Forgive and set them free.

None of us is righteous.

We all have past Histories.

How is your Past?

What kind of past history do you have?

We all have skeleton in our closets.

We all have secrets.

Suppose your secret has been revealed?

Suppose the whole world knows your secret?

I thank the Lord Almighty that only he knows my secret. He will not reveal my secret. He will not hold my secret against me. He forgives me of my past mistakes. He saves me and blesses me.

Since the Lord forgives me of my past sins, I forgive you my brothers and sisters.

So, let pass from passing judgment.

Let pass from condemnation to justification.

Forgiveness through justification is comprehensive. It covers everything. It covers all sins, past and present.

I have nothing against any Nigerian.

I have nothing against President Jonathan, notihng against President Obasanjo, President Babangida, President Buhari, Senator Tinubu, and Vice President Atiku Abubakar. I have nothing against Dangote, Mike Adenuga, Orji Kalu, Wole Soyinka.

I have nothing against any political party. I have nothing against PDP, ANPP, AC, and others as long as they promote free and fair election, freedom and justice for all.

It's okay to talk aboutthe  past. That’s only history. Hopefully, talking about your past will CONVINCE you. For without conviction, there is no REPENTANCE.

In order for Nigeria to become a great Nation, CHANGE must come to Nigeria.

Tell Somebody

In order for CHANGE to come to Nigeria, Nigerians must be united.

You Better Tell Somebody

My beloved, CHANGE must come to Nigeria. Change we can see and Feel.

We must CHANGE our wicked ways. We must change the way we think and the way we talk.

We must vote for change all Nigerians can benefit from. Tell Somebody

Change from corrupt leadership to leadership with integrity.

Change from imposition of leadership to electing our own leaders.

YOU BETTER TELL SOMEBODY

Change from arrogant leadership to servant leadership.

We must change from being Unproductive Nation to Become A Productive Nation.

We must stop all Human Right Abuses.

We must support our Elderly, the Handicap, The Unemployed and the Under-employed.

I thank God for calling me. Even though I am less than the least of all the Presidential Candidates, He calls me that I should preach and speak change into our rotten situation in Nigeria.

In him I have Boldness and Confidence

I will not fear the Evil one for I have prayed my prayer to my God.

I have started the work that He has ordered me to do.
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power of God. Glory be unto Him.

"My Mandate For Nigeria (4)" - KOLA AKINGBADE

(Being a continuation of the Presidential Declaration speech of KOLA AKINGBADE, presidential aspirant and political star. An exclusive interview with him will be published in the launch edition of our paper format hitting the news stands in the first week of October. Watch out!)

We can climb to the very top of this MORE HILL (Aso Rock).

Its width is only deceiving, we can go around it and if necessary, we can get to the bottom of its depth.

Aso Rock is nothing but a MORE HILL.

My Beloved,

Because of my deep Love for our country and because I love our people Nigeria,

Because Nigeria needs strong leadership,

Because Nigeria Deserves God fearing leaders,

Because Nigeria must survive as a Nation,

Because of the inability of this Administration to protect our national interest and inability to protect the Niger Delta Region, the inability of Jonathan`s Administration to secure our oil fields and prevent the sabotage of our oil fields, because of Jonathan`s failure and inability to provide for and compensate the residents around the oil field regions, Jonathan`s inability to control the militant in the Niger Delta areas. Because this administration and its predecessors have failed to improve the standard of living in Nigeria (Nigeria is a stagnant nation).

Because President Jonathan is not committed to bringing in the necessary changes to Nigeria and because Jonathan does not seem to posses the ability to unite this Nation and move the country into a Higher position of respectability among other nations of the world. Finally,

Because God calls me to serve this thirty six united states of Nigeria, I accept my calling.

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a servant unto the Nation”.

I WILL RUN FOR THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA.

I will contest the 2011 election as an Independent Candidate

I will serve in love.

I will labor in Love.

I will serve in Patience. For Patience produces Humility.

I will serve this Nation not just to serve in words only, but also in power. Power of the Holy Spirit.

I pray for Unity in Nigeria. There should be no geographic zoning of Nigeria. Nigeria is One nation.

The Hausas, the Fulanis, the Igbos, the Ijaws and the Yorubas, there should be NO regional deviation. We are one Nation, One People, and One Nigeria.

Despite our differences in cultural and religious background, there is no superior ethnic group in Nigeria. Only God is Superior. He is the father of All, He is above all...

"My Mandate For Nigeria (3)" - KOLA AKINGBADE

(Being a continuation of the Presidential Declaration speech of KOLA AKINGBADE, presidential aspirant and political star. An exclusive interview with him will be published in the launch edition of our paper format hitting the news stands in the first week of October. Watch out!)

Solving The Problems Of Nigeria
There is good news. A Problem situation is only a problem when there is no solution to the problem. Every situation we face in Nigeria can be corrected.

Our corruption problems can be corrected.

We can fix our transportation problems.

We can fix our unemployment problems.

We can become a productive nation.

We can become a service oriented society.

We can fix our human right violations.

We can buy unlimited, uninterrupted electric supply and water supply.

We can build more roads.

We can improve our health care situation.

We have solution to all of our problems.

So we have no problems, we have several issues facing our nation. We have developed programs to resolve these issues.

We can correct all the issues facing our Nation.

First we must take our country back. We must wrestle power away from the wicked leaders. But it seems we have mountain in our way.

Mountains are things that impede our progress.

There is mountain in our ways.

This mountain is Aso Rock

Aso Rock Mountain cannot be moved

Aso Rock Mountain cannot be climbed.

There is bribery, embezzlement, economic depression, even our past leadership and corruption in high places.

No one can move Aso Rock Mountain

This mountain is rough, tough and nasty.

Aso Rock Mountain is sitting high above Nigeria.

Its majesty is ruthless, dangerous and arrogant.

Aso Rock mountain is bigger than life.

It’s so high you can’t climb it.

It’s so wide you can’t get around it.

It’s so deep you can’t get into the bottom of it.

Its physical appearance is so intimidating no one can challenge it.

UNTIL TODAY…………. .

Today, there is good news.

The good news is that Aso Rock is not a mountain at all.

Aso Rock is simply a MORE HILL.

Despite its dominating physical appearance, if we are united, we can move this MORE HILL...

My Mandate For Nigeria (2) - KOLA AKINGBADE

(Being a continuation of the Presidential Declaration speech of KOLA AKINGBADE, presidential aspirant and political star. An exclusive interview with him will be published in the launch edition of our paper format billed to hit news stands on the first week of October. Watch out!)

Infrastructural Decay
No light, No running water, bad roads, our transportation system, the vehicles on our roads are below acceptable standards.

How can we become a productive nation without the Essential Elements?

Agriculture: Despite the gift of Good land, despite the awesome gift of Rich and fertile land and beautiful weather, despite the immense Human resources and the ability to produce at cost effective rates, Nigeria still fails to feed the population.

Nigeria has non-existing Technology Development.

What happened to made-in-Nigeria Products, any product at all?

Construction Industry:- We build our roads and highways without proper drainage system. Sometimes without any drainage system in place. We build our houses without proper sewer systems.

We build beautiful airports, stadiums High Rise buildings without proper Escape Route (Exit). No plans for its maintenance. We fail to put in place an adequate maintained facility to maintain those structures we already have.

We design our farm land without irrigation systems.

Nigerian government fails to plan or maybe they simply plan to fail. When for $ 10 Billion, the government can secure uninterrupted power supply; instead our leaders will use all the money to build their own financial Empire. They plan to fail.

Nigerian Welfare System: - Nigeria has no welfare system in place to assist our elderly people, the handicapped and the under employed people.

Health Care System: - Nigeria's health care system is unhealthy. Our hospitals, especially the University teaching Hospitals need an upgrade.

National Security: - Our national security is less than secure. We have the deployment of military personnel without the knowledge of the commander in chief.

Oil Sector: - Only the few, the elite and the privileged enjoy our nation wealth.

The state of our Union is Rotten. Our leaders have failed us. There is problem everywhere. Every sector of our economy is problematic. There are problems Up North, problems Down South, problems in the East, problems in the South. None of the three arms of our government can be trusted, there is corruption everywhere. There are problems with voting, there are problems in counting our votes and our leaders refuse to allow our vote count...

OBY EDOZIE Faces Eviction From Her Landlord Over Unpaid Rent

It is really different strokes for different folks. While some Nollywood stars are erecting big mansions in Ajah, some are facing real hard times. One of the controversial actresses in Nollywood, Oby Edozie who is rumoured to have beaten her mother to stupor, sometime ago, having a serious fisticuffs with her landlord over unpaid rent. The landlord of her house at Eloseh Street, near Kilo-Masha, by Oduduwa in Surulere area of Lagos is said to have issued a quit notice to her when it became evident that she was not ready to pay for the accumulative house rent which got due since last year.

Star Weekly! gathered that on receiving the quit notice, Oby sprang into action and started insulting the aged man to the extent that other tenants felt bad about her utterances and started cautioning her while pleading on her behalf to the landlord.
As you are reading this, Oby and her landlord have dragged each other to the Police station over the matter; and from the look of things the case may be taken to court.

My Mandate For Nigeria (1) - KOLA AKINGBADE

Starting from today, STAR WEEKLY! shall be bringing to you - every other day - excerpts from the presidential declaration speech of KOLA AKINGBADE (our political star of the moment and presidential aspirant with the message of CHANGE). An exclusive interview with him will be published in the launch edition of our paper format which will hit news stands in the first week of October. So, watch out - this man is loaded with vision!

Background
First, I want to thank the Lord Almighty for this opportunity to be here today. I want to thank my family and friends and the members of the Press. I want to thank our Members who respond to us on our website and face book. Thanks for coming today.

My name is Kola Akingbade. I was born January 24, 1961 in Ibadan. My father is the Late Chief C. L. Akingbade was a native of Igbara- Odo, Ekiti. I thank the lord for my mother Mrs. S. A Akingbade is still with me today. I attend I. C. C (Ibadan City Council) Primary School, Mokola Ibadan and I started and completed my secondary school at Compressive High School, Aiyetoro in Ogun state. I secure admission at several universities and Junior College here in Nigeria and in the United States. My parents and I decided that I should further my education in the United States.

In December 28, 1979, I left Nigeria for the United States to further my education. I attended Miami – Dade Community College in Miami Florida. I major in Architectural Engineering. Within two years in college, I discovered my talent. My passion is in Politics, in law, in business, business management and in National security.

I have extensive experience in Business management and by profession, I am a Sales Person. An executive sale professional, my hobby is reading and writing. I am a student of the bible and a Licensed Minister of the Gospel. I am a very good table tennis player and I will man handle a bicycle.

I love my country and I love my people Nigeria. Nigeria is a beautiful country. The lord blesses this Nation with good land, large land flowing with crude oil loaded with National Resources. Our soil is best for Agricultural production.

Intellectually, our people have been blessed excessively. For almost 50 years now, since our independent, the administration of this nation has been one of the worst in the world.

We went through several military coup, one Dictatorship after another. Bad leadership, lack of leadership, imposition of leadership, abuse of power, Human Right Violation, Extreme corruption in government. Nigeria is probably the most corrupt country in the world.

The level of unemployment in Nigeria is one of the worst in the world. The poverty level is totally acceptable. There is no steady Electric supply in Nigeria as a matter of fact there is no electricity in Nigeria. No running water. No wonder, Nigeria is an unproductive Nation (The Good Lord give us a gift crude oil). Nigeria produces almost noting. We assemble almost noting. We can’t even maintain what we have. The condition of our roads, highways is worst than decay.

Nigeria lacks the essential elements in order to become a productive Nation...

People Think I Am Old But I Am Just 30 - BENITA NZERIBE

Benita Nzeribe, the beautiful Nollywood star actress, who is known for acting bitchy roles in movies, is a journalist’s delight any day – with her straight and direct answers to questions.

Benita recently informed that contrary to what people think about her age, she’s just 30 years old.
She explains: “Yes, people think I am old. But I tell them that at the end of the day, the truth will come out. Age is something you can’t hide. When it comes, it announces itself. Again, I started off quite early. At 18 I was already a star. So, people tend to look at me and say, ‘12 years ago, she was already reigning.’ So they think, ‘Oh, no, she is 35, she is 40 and all that.”’
On how she has been able to cope with stardom, Benita has this to say: “It’s learning how to appreciate what God has done for you. When people appreciate me, when they cluster all over me in appreciation, I say God, thank you. I do ask Him whether all these appreciations are for me? I mean, you can’t see me trying to segregate and all that. Everybody is equal even if you are dirty and you want to hug me, I will still hug you. You know, somehow you make someone’s day and at the end of the day, that person says a silent prayer for you, asking God to bless you more. That’s what I do and I don’t touch people’s ego, especially men. A man would always like to woo you, make passes at you. But then, you say no; but don’t touch his ego because he is an African man. If you touch his ego, he would show you he is a man. I know I’m an African woman and I know how to handle such situations.”

"How Silent Night robbed me of an award" - SEGUN ARINZE

Segun Aina Padonu, also known as Segun Arinze, is a frontline star in Nollywood, whose face has appeared in the posters of many blockbustres. Arinze has put in over 25 years in acting and is currently the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.

It is not unusual hearing people refer to Arinze as “Black Arrow”. This is on account of his lead role in the movie “Silent Night”, which actually brought him fame. Ironically, however, while “Silent Night” unveiled his rich acting potential, the movie cost him an Encomium award due to the dubious character of “Black Arrow” in the movie.
Hear Arinze: “When I did Silent Night, there were many challenges playing that role, Black Arrow. I also lost an award in the process when we had Reel Awards from Encomium, because one of the judges on the panel said he had just been robbed and shortly after that, he watched the movie, Silent Night and said no! no!, this was too real. Moreso, many people think I am a very terrible person because of the roles I play. I am a very private person, extremely private. I can’t reconcile acting with my person, they are two distinct things. I don’t even mix them up. When I finished, I drop the script and it ends there.”

COSSY ORJIAKOR Robbed In Ghanaian Hotel

Nollywood star actress, Cossy Orjiakor, has been robbed in far away Ghana. You may recall that Star Weekly! carried a report, a couple of months ago, about Cossy wanting to relocate to Ghana – which the actress refuted. Well, this time, we are hearing the story from her own mouth.

According to Cossy: “Tourists to Ghana should beware of OBAMA HOTEL in East Legion. I booked for three nights - Thursday to Saturday - for $240. I went shopping on Friday, got back around 9 pm. I took some artworks from my handbag and left behind my camera, money and make-up in the bag. When I woke up, my bag was gone. It's only the hotel management that had access to my room. I was shocked. So i checked out, i asked for a refund of one night, $80, and was denied.”

"I Am Still An African Woman" - SUPERMODEL OLUCHI

Nigerian born international supermodel, Oluchi Onweagba-Orlandi is one star that has taken the bold steps to climb up the ladder of success to stardom. A household name in the global modelling industry, Oluchi says despite her success and the fact that she’s married to a white, she’s still an African and a Nigerian. This is probably why she pops into the country now and again to impact the local industry with her insights from the global scene.

At 17, Oluchi took the whole of Africa by storm when she won the inaugural edition of Face Of Africa contest in 1998. This was the first-ever continent-wide model competition, organized by the South African channel M-Net in collaboration with Elite Model Management. Her victory attracted her a three-year modelling contract with Elite Model Management.
Since then, Oluchi has never looked back. She has become one of the most sought-after models in the world and has graced the cover of many international magazines such as Italian Vogue, i-D, ELLE, Nylon, Marie Claire, Allure, and other national editions of Vogue around the world. She became the face of campaigns for Gianfranco Ferré, Gap, Express, Banana Republic, and Ann Taylor, as well as working for Victoria’s Secret. Onweagba’s runway experience has been with John Galliano, Christian Dior, Shiatzy Chen, Costume National, Chanel, and Giorgio Armani, among others, in London, Milan, Tokyo and Paris.
She has worked with such notable photographers as Steven Meisel, Nick Knight, and Patrick Demarchelier.
Beyond modelling, she tries to serve as a role model for other aspiring talents in Nigeria, especially young girls. In 2008, she launched a modelling agency in South Africa, OModel Africa, with offices in Johannesburg and recently in Cape Town. In August 2005, she exchanged marital vows with her longtime companion, Italian fashion designer Luca Orlandi. Oluchi believes that the best thing one can do is to marry her friend, which she did.
Oluchi has also affected the Nigerian modelling industry in no small way.
She says: “In the last five years I have been constantly coming to Nigeria. I support every event just because I don’t want to be people from the past. Akeem Olajiwon, the Nigerian basket ball player who lives abroad, how often do you see him? Has he ever done anything? He does not even come to Nigeria. But I come back and I give my support. So, I think I have given 100 per cent of my support.”

Star Of The Day - OCTOPUS PAUL!

Our star for the day is Octopus Paul, the psychic water creature that predicted matches in the just concluded South African 2010 World Cup, which predicted that Spain would win the World Cup many hours before the final match kicked off in Soweto.

The photograph above shows Octopus Paul sucking Spanish flag to predict their victory.
Octopus Paul predicted all German matches with 100% accuracy, including their defeat at the Quater Finals.
Spanish government says it was ready to pay millions of Dollars to buy the Octopus from the Gernan government to which it belongs. But, it appears the German government might not agree as plans are on the way to marry a female Octopus for Paul.
Analysts say the face of gambling in Europe and America will change with the coming of Octopus Paul as stakers would no doubt go to any length to consult Octopus Paul before making any bet.
While irate German football enthusiasts want the Octopus killed for predicting against them in the quarter finals, German government are optimistic that Octopus Paul will drive the tourism industry to another level.
So much for an Octopus!

"I Am Proud Of My Boobs" - CHIOMA OKOYE

“I am proud of my boobs. I don’t have to expose them – they are big enough for anybody to notice.” That was how Nollywood star actress, Chioma Okoye, replied her critics in a recent chat with the press.

Chioma was reacting to allegation that she had joined the crop of Nollywood’s actresses that show off their boobs to the public.
In her own words: “ People should judge me with what they see and not what they hear. I don‘t have to expose my boobs. They are already big enough for everybody to notice them, so why would I need to expose them again? My boobs are just moderate. This is how an African woman should be. I am proud of them.”
The beautiful actress also shed light on the story doing the rounds that her boyfriend died.
“That is an old story. He was my first love. We were in secondary school then. Ours was very innocent. He liked me and I liked him a lot. We used to go home together. We were very close. Every time I said I lost my boyfriend, people always thought he was a mature man. No, he was very young. I miss him so much,” she stated in an emotion laden voice.

"It's A Lie: I Did Not Act Any Nude Movie" - UCHE OGBODO

It appears the era of nude acting scandals has come to stay in Nollywood. Just a couple of weeks after we published Empress Njamah’s shocking admission of the fact that she could go nude on the screen – if the movie was done in the Western world – another nude acting scandal has broken out in the industry. Sultry actress, Uche Ogbodo, is not in the top 10 list of Nollywood actresses but the girl is really daring when it comes to acting. If you don‘t notice her because of her roles, her provocative dress sense will sure knock you out.

And when the posters of a new movie, Cruz, came out recently, not a few wondered if Uche had taken her seductive roles to another level.
In the movie poster which also displayed pictures of stars like Jim Iyke Uche‘s picture showing her almost naked, was very prominent.
When she was contacted to find out if and why she featured in a movie which looked x rated going by the poster, Uche claimed she was not the one in the picture.
"I have been feeling so bad since that poster came out. That producer wants to ruin my carear. That person is not me.”
According to Uche, her face was superimposed on another body.
“Check the tattoo on the arm of that person; it is not the same as mine. Those breasts on that person do not look like my breasts. The person‘s tummy looked like somebody that has been delivered of 12 kids. It is not mine. It is just my face they put on that person‘s body,” Uche said.
The obviously angry actress said she didn‘t do anything near the role that was displayed on the poster.
"I don‘t know where that came from. I just did normal kissing in the movie. I am on location now. I want to take the producer to court but people have been begging me. He wants to ruin my career. He didn‘t tell me he was going to do something like this to my face,” she said.
