GENEVIEVE, OMOTOLA Clash Again!

 Story By  DUMBIRI FRANK EBOH
The age-old rivalry and battle for supremacy between Nollywood top two actresses, Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Ekehinde is set to replay itself once again come next November when the Best of Nollywood Awards will hold.

According to the organizers, there are 28 categories in the awards with over a hundred nominees. However, the categories that will be keenly contested are Best Actress and Best Actor. This is due to the big names in the industry that have been nominated for the the two categories.

Those keenly contesting for the Best Actress include Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Ekehinde and Uche Jombo while those for Best Actor parade the likes of Ramsey Nuah, Kenneth Okonkwo and Obi Okeke amongst other stars.

It won’t be the first time Genevieve and Omotola are clashing in a major Nollywood competition. A couple of years ago, the rivalry was so intense that the two actresses began to keep malice and avoid each other.

Well, who wins this time? Star Weekly! will keep you posted. The Best of Nollywood Awards holds on Friday, November 11. It will be hosted by Comedian Tee A and Nollywood star actress, Ini Edo.

Adieu Lady Of Songs,CHRISTY IGBOKWE

Not Yet Uhuru For MERCY JOHNSON

 By JUSTICE AMUCHI
For Nollywood star actress, Mercy Johnson, it’s not yet time to shout hurray as her husband ex-wife, Lovelyn has vowed to make matrimonial life a hell for the embattled actress.

What appeared to be a temporal relief came the way of Mercy and her man Prince Okojie earlier when the man succeeded in getting a divorce from his estranged ex-wife. This had relieved the anxiety of fans of the movie star who were watching the unfolding drama of the controversial wedding. Expectedly, the wedding activities, which had been suspended, came alive again.

But, even as the church wedding held at an undisclosed location, sources close to Lovelyn say Mercy should prepare for a tough battle as she (Lovelyn) already has two children – aged five and three – for the prince.

“Lovelyn has vowed to make her matrimony a hell,” one of these told Star Weekly!
